Right now, you are feeling exhausted, frustrated, overwhelmed, or stuck.
It is possible to feel hopeful and find moments of joy regardless of what life throws your way!
You are carrying a heavy load, and every time you try to get rid of some of it, yet another ‘thing’ is added to your list. You have responsibilities and things you need to do each day, and it is critical that you feel like you have the time, support, and resources to meet your own needs.
“Hope is the curative factor in all of therapy.” ~Dr. Milton Erickson
You don’t have to suffer in silence. It is not selfish to take care of you. Together, we can identify the areas where sustainable change is needed, and develop a plan with possible solutions and small steps you can work on daily to catch a glimpse of your preferred future.
Our time together is a safe space where you can process your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. While having insight into past and current struggles can be helpful, we won’t stay there: our work will take a present and future focus with elements of hope infused throughout therapeutic conversation. By looking at the future, and what you’d like to see differently, we can start identifying solutions and building on sustainable changes immediately.
Things don’t have to stay this way. It is possible to feel hopeful and renewed in your mind and spirit.
Counseling is a journey, and with the specific focus on issues related to womanhood, understanding the terrain is part of my unique approach to solution-focused counseling. In our sessions, which are ideally held on a weekly basis for a specific period of time, we will work together to identify your immediate needs and how to convey them to those you consider your support system. We will brainstorm ways to communicate in session so that you feel validated and heard, as well as how to implement healthy boundaries for your own mental and physical health. You aren’t alone! I am glad to support you on your healing journey.
The process of counseling is much like the metaphor of climbing a mountain – you will move at your own pace and reach the top (your goals) in your own way. I am part of the process as your guide. Together, we work on solutions for improved clarity and renewal of your body, mind, and spirit.
